Life of Jesus Timeline FAQ

What is the chronological order of the life of Jesus?

The broad sequence begins with the birth narratives, moves through baptism and public ministry, then follows Jesus to Jerusalem for his final week, crucifixion, burial, resurrection appearances, and ascension.

Do all four Gospels record the same events?

No. Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John share many events but also preserve distinctive material. Every timeline entry lists the Gospel passages that narrate that event.

How long was the public ministry of Jesus?

The Gospels do not state a single duration. A ministry of roughly three years is commonly inferred from the Passovers mentioned in John, so this page uses ministry phases rather than assigning a precise date to every episode.

Can I play the Life of Jesus timeline as a game?

Yes. Choose Easy, Medium, or Hard and arrange a randomized set of Gospel events. After checking, reveal the correct order and inspect the Scripture connection for each card.
