A reading path through Scripture
Where to start, and how this reading order works
These 36 guides run from Genesis to Paul’s conversion in Acts. Begin with Adam and Eve for the opening chapters, Moses for the exodus, or the birth of Jesus for the Gospel accounts. Each guide includes a summary, Bible references, illustrations, and five questions about that story.
The seven groups are a reading aid, not an exact timeline. Job’s setting cannot be securely dated; its position here does not place him between Joseph and Moses. Several stories overlap, and the Gospel accounts do not supply a single dated sequence for every event. The Good Samaritan and the Prodigal Son are parables Jesus tells, not accounts of named people whose biographies we can reconstruct.
